Well, as you can probably tell by the time of this posting, Regan and I are wide awake on this lovely Saturday night. She's sitting in her bouncy seat making a game out of kicking the blanket off when I put it on. She gives me this coy look and then goes to town kicking away.
Thing No One Told Me About Being A Mother #347: It is nearly impossible to be frustrated with your child at 12:28 a.m. because that's when they turn on the charm and smile and coo at you.
Anyway, I felt bad for not having pictures of my other nieces on the blog yet (what kind of aunt am I!?). We're going to Mom and Dad's for the 4th, and I'll have more pictures, but until then, here are a few from Christmas.

This is Aubrey Brooke, but I call her Aubers. She is 4 1/2 now and is quite the diva. She's always talking about her "Princess House" which is her imaginary place where she gets everything she wants. Some of their friends found this shirt for her, and it couldn't fit Aubrey any better!
This August, Aubrey is going to be a big sister. They were going to name the baby Kyle, but now apparently they're thinking of naming him Jackson.
Say goodbye, Aubers....

This is Kylie Ann (Punkin). She is 5 1/2 now and is becoming quite the grown up. She is looking forward to starting Kindergarten this fall and I'm pretty sure they're going to skip her straight to 1st grade! She can already write all her letters, she can pick out the nouns and verbs in basic sentences (I don't even know what a verb is!)... I'm telling you, the kid is a genius.
Say goodbye, Kylie....

And speaking of divas... This is my sister-in-law, Karen. Eric and I got her these earring as a gag gift at Christmas. The gag fell through, but she was a good enough sport to model the lovely hoops for us. What a goofball.
I won't tell you her age, but did you know that when Karen graduated from high school, I was in 3rd grade!?
Say goodbye, Karen...
Well, Regan is back to sleep now. I can't decide if I should leave her as she is and just sleep in the chair until she inevitably wakes up next hour, or if I should chance waking her up and move into the bedroom where I'll be more comfortable in my own bed.
Oh, the joys of motherhood. I love every minute of it.
