The human head weighs 8 pounds....

Does anyone else think Grant looks like the little boy from Jerry Macquire?  Especially when he puts on Papa Sammie's glasses. :)

Seriously.  How stinking cute is this kid!?

Jesus, we just want to thank you

Here is a small taste of how Regan's bedtime prayer went tonight:

Regan: "Thank you for Daddy and thank you for Nemo and thank you for Praise Baby and thank you for the Laurie Berkner band."

me (prompting): "...and thank you for Grant..."

Regan: "NO, Momma.  I not thank God for Grant because I have to say thank you for Veggie Tales."

Where does this kid come up with these things!?

And so it begins....

It seems that Grant has some aggression he's been needing to work through...

Contemplating his next move.

If all else fails, go for the hair.

Musician's Widow

Eric is at TMEA this week and he took the camera, so I've been taking pictures with my phone.  It's not a very easy task, especially with two very active children, but here are a few efforts.

Grant was trying to climb into the bathtub with Regan and thought it was so funny when I kept pulling him backwards.  Isn't his smile so stinking cute? (even past all the blur)

Regan and I made chocolate chip cookies for the kids' teachers at Mother's Day Out.  I put them in little snack baggies and then made their initials out of pipe cleaners.  I thought they turned out pretty well.  I am obviously not smart enough to think of doing that myself.  I saw the project on some blog, but I can't remember where or I would link you to it.
We even made some for our next door neighbors, the Lutyens.  (Yes, Jeremy and Jenny-Lynn, they are still alive!)

Big helpers

I have the best helpers when it comes to grocery shopping.

Notice that Regan has her very own cart and man was she a woman driver!!!
Unfortunately, neither of them picked up the tab.

Question mark

Sorry, I can't think of a clever title.

So, a couple of weeks ago, Mom came into town while Dad flew out on business.  The kids and I took her home and then came back home a few days later.  Just as we were pulling into the driveway, Eric sat down to eat a piece of Papa Sammie's birthday cake.  He got distracted with us coming in and just left it on the end table, when who should happen upon it but our very own little busybody!!

He was so funny because you could tell he knew he wasn't supposed to be doing what he was doing, but he sure wasn't going to stop either.  He just kept shoveling cake into his mouth faster than he could chew!  If you notice, he's putting cake into his mouth and reaching for his next bite!
What a mess....
Here's Regan wearing the chef hat she made at Mother's Day Out.
Daddy and Grant (sporting his new 'do) at the Super Bowl party, or as Regan called it, "The Super Party"!!
I've been in the (never ending) process of switching the kids' clothes out for the next size and season up.  Regan is now in 3T clothes and Grant skipped 12 months and went straight to 18 months!!  Here they are riding in the bin of clothes turned choo-choo train.  Grant was too worried about falling over to look at the camera.
Regan's big cousins, Lindsey and Leah loaned us a ton of their spring clothes, and we are SO thankful!!!  These ladybug rain boots were in the pile and Regan has fallen in looooove with them.  She has worn them everywhere, which has made for some pretty interesting outfits.  She even threw a temper tantrum when I nixed the idea of her wearing them to Mother's Day Out.  They are about a size and a half too big, but she just loves clomping around in them.

Two posts in one week!!

I know, it's a miracle.  I love showing off my children, but I'm busy, people and I forget to download pictures onto the computer.  Anyway, here are a few pictures from lately.

"Excuse me, Dad?  Are you trying to take a nap?  If not, I'm going to practice for my CPR certification."
Regan loves all things Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus.  Her latest trick is to "be Mary".  And when I put all the nativity sets in the storage shed, she said, "Why did you put baby Jesus in the shed?"  It was really cute and kind of sad at the same time.
Grant ate a nutri-grain bar the other day and had it everywhere!  It was so cute but he was not liking having his picture taken.  This was the best one I got and it doesn't even do the mess justice.  He had it in his hair, in his ears, between his fingers.... man, it was a mess!  I love having a boy!!
I fixed Regan's hair in pigtails the other day and then decided to braid them.  They looked so cute and she thought they were really funny.  Doesn't she look so grown up!?

Cute kids ahead!!!

A couple of weeks ago, Eric's Grandad turned 90.  Eric's family all came into town and we had a birthday party for Grandad.  Here is Regan reading a bedtime book to Lindsey and Leah, with a little help from Aunt Karen.  Isn't her voice SO stinking cute!?

Grant has learned quite a few new tricks this month.  Here he is playing Peek-A-Boo!!!

100th post!!

This is my 100th post!! Apparently that's a pretty big deal in the blogging world, so in honor of it (and because I haven't posted in almost a month -- but mostly because it's my 100th) here are a lot of Christmas pictures.  Be warned: picture overload!!

Waiting in line to see Santa.  There is no after picture.  Let's just say Regan was not pleased with the jolly old man.
The cutest Christmas tree I've ever seen.  Grant's teachers made this at Mother's Day Out.
At Grammy and Grampa's.  Lindsey opening her gifts.
Leah wouldn't stand still long enough to get a shot of her face, so here's her sweet profile.
"All these presents are fine, but what I really want is to eat this bow..."
Regan tearing into her presents.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care.
Grant on the way to Nana and Papa's.
The reindeer dropped some presents by early for the Seven Dwarfs.
A typical Livingston gathering... lots of laughter and food!!  I love Tara Lynn's face!
Santa left a Barbie guitar for Regan and a sport gym for Grant.
A few of Santa's elves.  (left to right: Brandi, Tabitha, Sarah, Tara Lynn, me)
Grant was so excited to see his present, he would hardly stand still! :)  (Okay, so he really wasn't all that excited, but this was taken on Eric's phone so it's not the best quality.  The blur behind Grant is Kyle.)
Regan jamming out.
The Seven Dwarfs in the pajamas the elves left for them.  (l to r: Regan, Grant, Kyle, Kylie holding Shyann, Aubrey holding Harlee)
Rowdy got Sarah Guitar Hero for Christmas and when Regan saw the big people jamming, she went and got her guitar too.  I love this picture!
She was so cute because she kept bouncing her leg in time to the music.  It was stinking adorable!
My new favorite picture.  These two were best buddies at Nana and Papa's.
And what makes it Christmas in southwestern Kansas more than a tumbleweed burning party!?
Tara Lynn showing off Harlee's caauuute hairdo, which I did, thank you very much!  Doesn't this kid look just like her mother!? (Harlee, not Tara Lynn.)
Nana and Papa were so relieved when everyone left!
A picture of 8 of the 9 Livingston grandchildren... we've outgrown the traditional staircase picture!  (l to r: Jamie, Tasha, Sarah, Tabitha, Brandi, me, Tara Lynn and Wesley) Tonya's little girl was sleeping so she didn't make it over in time.
On New Year's Eve, Hudson came over to play for awhile.  I'm pretty sure David Crowder got his start on a pink Barbie guitar too.
They were so happy to see each other and played so good!!  We miss our Hubson. :(
This is what happens when you let Daddy take Grant to get his hair cut....

Thanksgiving pictures!

We had a very nice, relaxing Thanksgiving with Eric's family in Tulsa.  The greatest thing about our families is that even though we grew up in very similar ways, our families are completely opposite.  My family is large and loud and most of us don't even realize that the world exists before 9:00 a.m.  Everyone stays up until all hours of the night playing games and being obnoxious.  Eric's family, on the other hand, is quiet and calm and very relaxing.  Morning is the prime time with them (I'll admit, I'm still trying to adjust, even after 5 years of marriage!) and we're all in bed early.  It's glorious! :)  Here are a few pictures from our trip...

Grant was really fussy one morning and did not want me to put him down.  I handed him to Eric and then walked out of the room to take my shower.  I guess Grant had turned to find me and finally gave up because when I walked back in after my shower, this is how I found my boys!

We went over to Bill and Karen's Wednesday afternoon so the kiddos could play together.  They had a good time, but I never could get all 4 of them to look at the camera at the same time.
After Thanksgiving dinner, before the Cowboys game.  I think I might frame this one.
The Rath grandchildren in reverse birth order.  (That's the only way I can remember that Lindsey is the one on the outside and Leah is next to Regan. I know they're my nieces, but for the life of me, I can NOT tell those girls apart!!)
Seriously. How sweet is this!?
